Divine Materials & the Divine Enhancement Crystal
Divine materials are six upgrade components, and each one drops from a different piece of content. Collect all six and combine them into a Divine Enhancement Crystal for a permanent account bonus that you can never lose, drop or trade away.
The short version: Get one of each of the six materials, put them in your inventory, then use the Divine Enhancement Crystal and choose Combine. You gain +5% drop rate, +5% skilling XP and +5% pet chance, permanently. You can do this up to 10 times.
The Six Materials
Every material comes from its own activity and nowhere else. That is deliberate - the only way to hold all six is to have actually played all six.

Two ways to get Void Essence. Ordinary Void Island pests drop it at 1 in 25, but the Voidplague boss drops it at 1 in 5 - five times better. If you are hunting this one material specifically, kill the boss.
What the Crystal Gives You
Each Divine Enhancement Crystal you make grants, permanently and for the whole account:
- +5% drop rate - shows in your own drop rate breakdown, so you can see it working
- +5% skilling XP
- +5% pet chance - from every source, not just one skill
They stack. Ten crystals is the maximum, so the ceiling is +50% drop rate, +50% skilling XP and +50% pet chance.
It is stored on your account, not on an item. There is nothing to wear, nothing to keep in your bank, and nothing to lose on death. Once you have made a crystal the bonus is simply yours.
How to Combine
- Collect one of each of the six materials.
- Make sure all six are in your inventory - materials sitting in the bank do not count.
- Use the Divine Enhancement Crystal and choose Combine.
- All six are consumed and your bonus goes up by 5% in each of the three categories.
You cannot lose materials to a failed combine. All six are checked before any are taken, so if something is missing you are told exactly which one and where to get it, and nothing is consumed.
Getting Your First Crystal
The two guaranteed materials are the easiest place to start:
- Achievement Seal - complete any achievement you have not done yet. Guaranteed, so one achievement is one seal.
- Prestige Core - guaranteed on any prestige. Skilling prestige counts, so a pure skiller is never locked out of the crystal by not training combat.
The two Slayer materials come at the same 1 in 5 rate on either track, so neither regular nor Crystal Slayer is the better route - use whichever you prefer. That leaves the Star Fragment, which is the slowest of the six at 1 in 40 per mining action, and Void Essence, which is much faster from the Voidplague than from ordinary pests.
Do not sell or drop your materials. They do nothing on their own and no shop buys them - their only purpose is the combine. If one is cluttering your bank, it is still worth 5% of everything.
